There is a group for collaborative practice and self-education for mental health professionals and trainees. Those groups are not in themselves a form of therapy; rather they offer therapeutic support and education. There are two self-help groups for family and friends in Athens with potentially a third one to come.

ADDitude magazine asked practitioners who specialize in ADHD about their clients toughest problems, and the strategies that move them in the right direction. I also work to educate the partner that this is a medical condition and not just the other person forgetting or not seeming to be as interested in things. Here is what they said.

I have found these “miracle drug breakthroughs” have in common a consistent pattern, one of which is a major cover story in a national magazine, in this case Time magazine.
