I started writing these Labor Day greetings as an update on the work environment for physicians. E arlier this year President Biden signed into law: H.R. 3935, the “ FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024 ,” intended to modernize the airline industry’s approach to mental health and other safety issues. It followed the Federal Aviation Administration’s April 2024 loosening of restrictions on modern antidepressants.
