The research, led by Dana Alsugeir, highlights that women in this age group are more likely than men to be diagnosed with depression and anxiety—and more likely to be prescribed selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs).
