Naturally, I developed an eating disorder and OCD at an early age. I started self-harming, just to feel my skin and keep the emotional pain at bay. I didn’t feel my skin or my body much, but I wasn’t aware of this dissociation at that time. The only available therapist that my insurance paid for was a vegan Buddhist.
