Despite a plan to open 20 new specialist beds for eating disorders by 2023, there remain just 3 beds to cover the entire country. The leaves patients having to be treated in hospitals with no specialist experience. She said, ‘I was definitely a lot worse coming out of that hospital stay than I was going into it.’
