My anecdotal explanation is that psychologists and psychiatrists are more concerned with self-preservation and their own ego, despite the latter actually being medical doctors. More to the point, shouldn’t there be some definition of what is emotionally healthy, and shouldn’t we be taught this starting in elementary school?

Unconsciously, my soul knew that this role wasn’t my authentic self and rebelled against me trying to fit in and act the part. I never rebelled.
