In 2010, I was one of the authors of a published critique of the STAR*D study’s reported findings. We showed how STAR*D’s authors had manipulated the data to manufacture fraudulent results. In addition, since STAR*D’s publication, the prescription of these drugs is generating and exacerbating depression more than alleviating it.
