Wallace hanged himself in 2008 after withdrawing from a long-term medication, experiencing unbearable withdrawal symptoms and finding himself unable to regain relief (such as it was) in his old medication or new ones prescribed to him. I later learned prescription of paroxetine to people aged 65 and older has been discouraged since 2016.
